Johnny Depp agrees to a staggering contract to serve as the new face
The seven-figure deal, according to TMZ, resulted from the leaders of Dior and fashion photographer Greg Williams attending one of the star’s most recent performances in Paris with Jeff Beck.
According to reports, Williams and Depp participated in a picture session for the next men’s fragrance advertisement.
On Monday, Dior shared videos and images of the Pirates of the Caribbean star on Instagram. One of the captions read: “Human but not inhumane. similar to Sauvage”
The ad campaign first started in 2015, and last year, it peaked with an epic ad in which Depp plays guitar by himself in the desert while surrounded by wolves.
However, the advertisement abruptly stopped running after information about Depp’s alleged abuse of his ex-wife Amber Heard came to light, only to begin again when he prevailed in his defamation lawsuit against her.
Since then, Depp has made significant measures in an effort to revive his career. Certainly another step in that direction is the new, multi-year contract with Dior.
