Elon Musk Is Very Clear About His Opinion Of The Brittney Griner

After a protracted incarceration period, WNBA star Brittney Griner was convicted guilty of cocaine possession and smuggling on Thursday and given a nine-year jail term by a Russian court. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and a millionaire, has questioned if the president and his administration would follow through on their promise to bring the Phoenix Mercury centre home safely. President Joe Biden has pledged to do all in their power to make this happen. During a guest appearance on the “Full Send” podcast, I questioned:

Shouldn’t we liberate individuals in America if the president is fighting so hard to free someone who is imprisoned in Russia for possessing marijuana? … People are detained in America for the same offences. Shouldn’t we also release them? In my view, nonviolent drug charges should not result in incarceration.

The seven-time All-situation Star’s has been labelled as one of “wrongful detention” by the U.S. State Department, which has allegedly looked into prospective prisoner exchanges to bring him home.

No specific timeframe, however, indicates if or when that would happen.
